Causes Of Eye Allergy

Ocular (eye) allergies often affect the conjunctiva, a clear layer of skin covering the eyes. This clear layer of skin is the kind of skin that lines the inside of the nose. Because these two areas are so similar, the same allergens (substances that cause allergic reaction) trigger the same allergic reaction in both areas.

Common allergens include:

Pollen

Grass

Weeds

Dust

Animal dander

The main difference between SAC and PAC is the time of symptoms.

If you have SAC, you usually have problems in a short period.

You may be disturbed in the spring by tree pollens in the summer by grass pollen or fall by weed pollen.

Generally, your resolution of symptoms during other times of the year, especially in winter.

If you have any PAC, your problems may last a year.

Instead of outdoor allergens, you have problems with indoor allergens such as dust mites, cockroaches and pet dander.

Seasonal outdoor allergens can worsen your problems if you're too sensitive.
